Here Are The Complete NXT Taping Spoilers For January 4, 2018

On Thursday night, the Yellow Brand held its latest batch of television tapings, and this time they recorded the episodes at the legendary Center Stage in Atlanta. Please be aware that everything you read in the subsequent paragraphs is an actual, massive, legitimate spoiler for what will happen over the next several weeks of NXT television. You may read on only at your own risk. But if you’re the sort of person who just simply cannot wait until next week to find out what happens next, congratulations! This post is for you!

These tapings should take NXT television all the way up through NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on Royal Rumble weekend.

Results from the January 1, 2018 tapings:

Candice LeRae defeated Vanessa Borne. This was a dark match prior to the actual episodes taping.

Kassius Ohno defeated Raul Mendoza. This was another dark match.

1. Shayna Baszler defeated Dakota Kai. Baszler won via referee stoppage. After the match, Baszler continued to attack Kai and choked her out until Ember Moon made the save.

2. Lars Sullivan defeated Lio Rush. Sullivan won via pinfall after hitting the Freak Accident. After the match, Sullivan called out Killian Dain and beat down Rush some more, then hit his finisher on Rush off the top rope.

— A match between SAnitY and the Undisputed Era was announced, but it was revealed that the Undisputed Era had attacked SAnitY backstage and left them laying. Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly came to the ring and mocked SAnitY. Nikki Cross ran out, but had to be restrained by officials to keep her from attacking Undisputed Era. William Regal then announced Aleister Black and Roderick Strong as replacement opponents for SAnitY.

3. NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Undisputed Era (c) defeated Aleister Black and Roderick Strong. Adam Cole distracted Aleister Black and the two men brawled through the crowd, leaving Roderick Strong vulnerable and taking the pinfall loss.

— After the match, Black and Cole returned to the ring and the Undisputed Era beat down Black. William Regal returned and announced Aleister Black vs. Adam Cole in an Extreme Rules Match at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.

4. Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Kassius Ohno. This was a non-title match. Almas won by pinfall with the hammerlock DDT.

5. Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli defeated Heavy Machinery.

6. Lacey Evans defeated Aliyah.

— Evans began cutting a promo calling out Nikki Cross after the match, but was chased off by Baszler. Baszler started beating down Aliyah, but Ember Moon once again made the save. Moon challenged Baszler to a match. William Regal made the NXT Women’s Championship match official for NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.

7. Roderick Strong defeated Fabian Aichner. Strong won via submission with the Strong Hold. After the match, Strong challenged Lars Sullivan.

— Johnny Gargano cut a promo in the ring.

8. No. 1 contender match: The Authors of Pain defeated the Street Profits. The Authors of Pain will face Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.

9. No Way Jose defeated Cezar Bononi.

10. Bianca Belair defeated Luscious Latasha.

— The Authors of Pain had a scheduled match against enhancement talent, but beat them down before the match started and called out the Undisputed Era, who did not appear.

11. No. 1 Contender Match: Johnny Gargano defeated Velveteen Dream. This was to finalize Andrade “Cien” Almas’ opponent at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. After the match, Almas and Zelina Vega appeared at the top of the ramp and had a staredown with Gargano.
