Here Are The Complete NXT Taping Spoilers For April 19, 2017

It seems like it’s only been a couple of weeks since the last round of NXT tapings. Probably because the last round of tapings happened two weeks ago!

On Wednesday night, the Yellow Brand held their latest batch of television tapings at Full Sail. Please be aware that everything you read in the subsequent paragraphs is an actual, massive, legitimate spoiler for what will happen over the next several weeks of NXT television. You may read on only at your own risk. But if you’re the sort of person who just simply cannot wait until next week to find out what happens next, congratulations! This post is for you!

These tapings should take NXT television through at least the next three weeks, and likely take the television show all the way up to NXT TakeOver: Chicago on May 20.

Results from the 4/19/17 NXT tapings:

— In what appeared to be a dark match, Jeet Rama defeated Maxx Stardom. Rama was seconded by the Bollywood Boyz (or the Singh Brothers, which is their new team name on the main roster).

1. Hideo Itami defeated Kona Reeves.

2. Killian Dain defeated Danny Burch.

3. Heavy Machinery defeated unnamed local talent. After the match, Heavy Machinery said they like hitting the buffet between workouts, and said they are coming for the Authors of Pain.

4. Sonya Deville defeated Lacey Evans. If those names don’t look or sound familiar to you, that’s because they are the new NXT names for Daria Berenato (Deville) and Macey Estrella (Evans).

5. Aleister Black defeated Cezar Bononi. This was another short match for Black.

6. No. 1 Contender Match: Hideo Itami defeated Roderick Strong. This was for an NXT Championship match against Bobby Roode at NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

— After the match, Itami and Strong hugged. Itami left and Strong soaked in the cheers of the crowd, but was then attacked and laid out by SAnitY.

7. Street Posse (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) defeated Dylan Miley and Ho Ho Lun. Miley’s latest partner fared about as well as his last one.

8. Drew McIntyre defeated Sean Maluta. After the match, McIntyre was being interviewed when Wesley Blake showed up. The two agreed to a match “next week.”

9. Kassius Ohno defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas. Thea Trinidad was suddenly, conspicuously in the front row for this match.

— #DIY came to the ring and said they’ve still never received a fair one-on-one rematch for their tag titles. They said the line to challenge the Authors of Pain starts behind them. They get interrupted by Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss. Moss and Sabbatelli say things have changed. It’s not about little underdogs or fat guys anymore, it’s about God gifted athletes.

10. #DIY defeated Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss.

— William Regal came out and said that only one team deserves to challenge the Authors of Pain in Chicago, and that’s #DIY. Paul Ellering came out and said the Authors will end the careers of Gargano and Ciampa. It was announced the NXT Tag Team Championships would be defended in a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago between #DIY and the Authors of Pain.

— Bobby Roode came to the ring for a promo. He says everywhere he goes, he’s hearing about Hideo Itami. He said Itami has been breaking people’s jaws, and Itami KO’d him with a Go To Sleep, but it won’t happen again. He’s intending to make an example out of Itami in Chicago, because Itami keeps getting hurt and doesn’t have a lot to show for it. Meanwhile, Roode has won the title, sent Nakamura packing, and made NXT a viable brand. Itami finally comes out. William Regal and security try to intervene, but Itami manages to get in the ring and he attacks Roode. Itami hits another GTS on Roode to end the segment.

11. Women’s No. 1 Contender Battle Royal ended in a no contest. The winner of this match was supposed to go on to challenge Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. Candice LeRae and Rachael Ellering were both in this battle royal. When the match was down to Ember Moon, Ruby Riot, and Nikki Cross, Asuka ran in. Asuka beat them all down and the referee called for a no contest.

— Regal came out and announced a Fatal 4-Way for the Women’s Championship in Chicago: Asuka vs. Nikki Cross vs. Ember Moon vs. Ruby Riot.

The Authors of Pain came out and Ellering said they are the tag team of a generation. That brings out SAnitY.

12. The Authors of Pain defeated SAnitY by DQ. The two teams kept fighting until security came in … and then they kept brawling. SAnitY beat down security on the stage, and AOP beat down security in the ring. The two factions then had a staredown from their respective positions.
