Tonight on the With Spandex WWE Raw open discussion thread:
The WWE Universe had spoken. After the frenzied outcome of the 2015 Royal Rumble Match made Roman Reigns one of the most controversial Superstars on the roster, The Authority made an interesting offer to The Big Dog: He would face either Daniel Bryan or Seth Rollins at WWE Fastlane, with the winner going on to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania. Reigns accepted these terms and, at the end of the night, it was Bryan who earned an opportunity to battle the powerhouse on Feb. 22.
With The Authority still clearly determined to put as many obstacles in front of Reigns and Bryan as possible on The Road to WrestleMania, what can we expect live on Raw? (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. The first point on the WWE.com preview is, “How will The Authority stack the deck against Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns?” I love that we aren’t even TO Fast Lane yet and we’re already saying, “this Roman Reigns guy you hate? He’s just like Daniel Bryan. He’s so much like Daniel Bryan he’s got a Daniel Bryan growing out of his ass. YES, am I right guys? YES! YES! THE SIGNATURE ROMAN REIGNS TAUNT.”
2. Tonight, Team Cena will return to Raw after a 6-day absence. They will immediately be put into a 3-on-3 match where the losers will be fired! They’ll lose and be fired, and on Smackdown Cena will have to face The Authority for a chance to get their jobs back. Basically there’s a poor secretary in Stamford having to run her ass off every week to keep up with these personnel changes.
3. Goldust and Stardust are breaking up. The Miz and Damien Mizdow are breaking up. GIVE ME MY RHODES SCHOLAR PLEASE.
4. We’ve managed to make it a few weeks into the Cena vs. Rusev story without any really bad Cena stuff on Raw, so I’m crossing my fingers that that’ll continue tonight. Let him call her a Communist Cooter all he wants on Smackdown, I don’t have to watch or review it. Followup sentence: don’t do it there either, I’m just saying.
5. Last week, Nikki Bella spray-painted Paige’s stomach black. This week, Paige drives the Divas monster truck to the arena and runs over Nikki’s beloved Harley Davidson.
