WWE Raw Results 7/29/13

WWE Raw Results

1. The Shield defeated Mark Henry and The Usos. Dean Ambrose picked up the win for his team by pinning Jimmy Uso. After the match, Henry cleared the ring.

2. Rob Van Dam defeated Fandango. Fandango bailed before Van Dam could hit the Five-Star Frog Splash, taking a purposeful count-out loss.

3. Kaitlyn defeated Divas Champion AJ Lee. Kaitlyn got the win after a spear.

4. Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E Langston. Ziggler won by disqualification when AJ Lee interfered. Langston was not happy about it.

5. Christian defeated World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. Christian won the non-title match with a small package. At the risk of editorializing, that’s two non-title losses for champions on the same show.

6. Cody Rhodes defeated Wade Barrett. After the match, Damien Sandow cut a promo about Cody stealing his Money in the Bank briefcase.

7. Daniel Bryan defeated Kane. Bryan pinned Kane after countering a chokeslam attempt into a small package. After the match, the Wyatt Family attacked Kane, laying him out and saying that he’s not a demon.

8. Brie Bella defeated Natalya. Bella won when Nikki Bella distracted Natalya. Watch Total Divas, everyone.

9. Curtis Axel defeated R-Truth. After a quick match, CM Punk attacked Axel. Axel was able to escape with help from Paul Heyman.

– The show began with Vince McMahon saying he wanted neither John Cena nor Daniel Bryan to be WWE Champion. Later in the show, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H contemplated giving Bryan a “corporate makeover.”

10. John Cena defeated Ryback. This was a tables match. After the match, Bryan claimed the WWE Championship. He acted like he was going to hand it to Cena, then pulled it away.
