WWE Raw Results 10/3/16

Here are your quick and dirty, editorial-free WWE Raw results for October 3, 2016. Monday night’s episode featured a Raw Women’s Championship match between Charlotte and Sasha Banks, plus the latest chapter in the Sheamus and Cesaro: Besties(???) saga.

WWE Raw Results:

— The show opened with United States Champion Roman Reigns cutting a promo. He was interrupted by Lana, who came to deliver a challenge from Rusev for the title. Reigns insulted her, and she told him to go to hell. Rusev came out and the two men brawled, with Reigns laying out Rusev on the ramp. He said he would face Rusev in Hell in a Cell.

1. Brian Kendrick defeated TJ Perkins. This was a non-title match. Kendrick won by submission with the Captain’s Hook.

— Michael Cole conducted a sit-down interview with Seth Rollins, who promised to cancel the “Kevin Owens Show.”

2. Braun Strowman defeated Chase Silver. Strowman won the match with the running powerslam.

— Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho came to the ring to gloat about Jericho helping Owens retain the Universal title. Jericho managed to convince Owens they should go after the Raw Tag Team Championship. That brought out The New Day, who eventually accepted their challenge of a non-title match.

3. Sami Zayn defeated Titus O’Neil. Zayn won the match via pinfall after the Helluva Kick.

4. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Golden Truth. Gallows and Anderson hit the Magic Killer on R-Truth, allowing Gallows to get the pin for his team.

— Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson confronted Owens and Jericho backstage and argued about which two men are the better friends. Jericho warned them to stay out of his and Owens’ business.

— Enzo Amore and Big Cass were in the ring with three breast cancer survivors representing the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They presented the women with championship belts for winning their fights against cancer.

5. The New Day defeated Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. This was a non-title match with Kutcher and Masterson sitting in on commentary. Seth Rollins distracted Jericho, allowing New Day to hit the Midnight Hour for the pin.

— After the match, Rollins and New Day challenged Owens to get in the ring and save Jericho, but Owens instead opted to let his best friend take a Pedigree.

6. Tony Nese defeated Rich Swann. Nese hit a pumphandle Michinoku Driver to get the pinfall win.

7. Cesaro and Sheamus defeated Raul White and Mark Carradine. Cesaro and Sheamus once again had difficulty getting on the same page, but eventually picked up the win after a Brogue Kick.

8. Raw Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte (c). Dana Brooke belittled Bayley backstage prior to the match, leading to Bayley taking Dana out of action. In the main event of the evening, Banks locked in the Banks Statement and forced Charlotte to tap, becoming a two-time champion.
