WWE Will Have A Second ‘Roadblock’ Pay-Per-View This Year, So Get Ready To Be Confused

During Monday night’s episode of Raw, which emanated from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, the arena tweeted out an announcement that the next Pittsburgh WWE PPV would be Roadblock, which will take place on December 18.

If you can remember back as far as March, you might recall that the first-ever Roadblock already took place this year as a WWE Network live event. It was headlined by Triple H vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, back when we still believed Dean could actually be the world champ and wasn’t just a joke. Wonder whatever happened to that guy.

The Roadblock name made a lot of sense at the time, since it was a sudden, unexpected stop on the Road to WrestleMania. Now it’s … a stop on … the road to the Royal Rumble? I … who even knows, man.

It should be noted that this tweet-announcement could simply be a mistake, because December 18 was already on the WWE PPV schedule as this year’s installment of the TLC event. However, it is equally likely that, given the two PPVs a month model, that TLC moniker will be given to another December event (or another event in any month) and the December 18 PPV is now, officially, Roadblock 2: Electric Blockaroo.
