WWE Has Released ‘Tough Enough’ Winner Sara Lee, Who Then Announced Her Pregnancy

Last year, WWE’s reboot of Tough Enough was fairly polarizing, and toward the end of the show, most wrestling fans had turned against frontrunners Sara Lee and ZZ. Ultimately, Josh Bredl won the men’s half of the competition, but Sara Lee did in fact become the women’s winner, taking home a one-year, $250,000 WWE contract. That year is already up, and without having made her NXT television debut, Sara Lee now follows in the footsteps of ZZ and has parted ways with the company.

As first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Sara Lee was informed of her release on Friday. On Sunday, she posted on her personal Facebook page that she and NXT star Wesley Blake (of former NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy) are expecting their first child in May of next year.

Neither Sara Lee nor Bredl, nor the released ZZ ever managed to make it to a televised NXT episode, although all three have worked NXT Live Events in the past. At this point, only Mandy Rose has made it to the television among the Tough Enough final four … although she was part of the Total Divas cast long before making her in-ring debut. Patrick Clark and Mada are now officially on watch, I suppose.
