The Road to WrestleMania kicked off this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble event with AJ Styles retaining his WWE Championship in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match and Shinsuke Nakamura winning the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, then challenging The Phenomenal One to a match on The Grandest Stage of Them All. 1. Will we get closure on that “Kevin Owens wasn’t the legal man” controversy during the WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble, or is the result just, “Shane McMahon is right because we clap for him?”
2. Shinsuke Nakamura won the Royal Rumble and is heading to WrestleMania to face AJ Styles, so tonight we should get [checks notes] Baron Corbin attacking him? Shouldn’t that read, “the beginning of the WrestleMania build?” Sorry, I don’t know how the show works.
3. Ronda Rousey clips ahoy!
4. The answer to WWE.com’s question of “What’s next for the Usos?” better be Rusev Day, unless they want to give them another successful title defense before Rusev drives to the ring in a tank at WrestleMania and crushes them.
5. Tonight’s show features a fatal four-way for a United States Championship shot between Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, Rusev and Jinder Mahal. It should be Rusev or Kofi, but it’ll be Jinder. Sorry, everyone!
