Tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network, American Alpha must withstand The New Wyatt Family in order to earn the right to battle SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs this Sunday. – Via WWE.com
Our five-point preview:
1. Precious suplex babies American Alpha will take on the newly formed tag team of Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. Will they be able to overcome the dual embodiment of the shrug emoji, or will the voices Randy hears be Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon congratulating him on advancing to a tag title match at TLC?
2. James Ellsworth got the upset victory over AJ Styles thanks to the machinations of Dean Ambrose. Now the McPoyle brothers of WWE both have championship opportunities against Styles, with Ambrose set to face off against the Phenomenal One at TLC. Will AJ Styles beat the bag out of Ellsworth before he even gets his title shot? And more importantly, how will this affect the gross friendship between Ambrose and Ellsworth?
3. Tensions are running high in the Smackdown women’s division. Despite putting their differences aside and coming together at Survivor Series, Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch are chomping at the bit to get in the ring at TLC. Can they hold off on throwing hands before then, or will this feud explode before they get the chance?
4. Dolph Ziggler is still trying to get that Intercontinental belt off of the Miz for some unfathomable reason. With their ladder match scheduled for this Sunday, does Maryse have something for Big Daddy Zigs up her bedazzled sleeve, or will Ziggler even the odds using his own underhanded tactics?
5. Baron Corbin can’t stop himself from interfering with Kalisto, so the cruiserweight gave him the work with a steal chair. Now, the two have a chairs match because someone had to get stuck with the “C” part. Will they be able to save their energy for Sunday, or will they be worse than Selena Gomez at keeping their hands to themselves?
Also happening tonight is the premiere of the new show dedicated entirely to Cruiserweights, 205 Live:
205 Live debuts tonight and will feature Superstars that are 205 pounds and under, including: new WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick, as well as TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, Noam Dar, HoHo Lun, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, Tozawa, Jack Gallagher, Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra. – Via WWE.com
