A WWE Theme Park Could Become A Reality Based On These Designs

A WWE theme park could be in the works after designs were revealed on Wednesday by design firm Forrec for WWE fan attractions. The designs are for numerous scalable attractions that could work for events like Wrestlemania Axxess, but, according to AM2, they could also end up being part of “full-scale outdoor WWE Theme Park sites.”

Among the designs are an indoor, multi-tiered room with arcade games and TV screens around a WWE ring that features a robotic arm that would allow fans a virtual reality in-ring experience.

All of the plans are just concepts right now, but Forrec says the ideas are for rides and attractions that give fans the feeling of “the real thing.” Among the other ideas Forrec has, as listed by AM2, are for a “Road to Wrestlemania” ride, a WWE “House of Horrors” (which would hopefully be more entertaining than a House of Horrors match), and rebranding already existing rides or experiences from other clients (Forrec lists Universal Studios and LEGO as two of their biggest clients) with names of WWE signature moves, like the Rock Bottom.

According to AM2, some of the designs in the images have already hit Axxess, like the WWE Superstar entrance experience and a top rope jump into a foam pit. While the designs are only concepts, and most seem to fit something like Axxess, with how strong the WWE brand is, it wouldn’t be that big of a stretch to imagine they have some legitimate desire to create some form of theme park or permanent fan experience at some point in the future.

I’ll say this much, if a WWE theme park does become a reality and they don’t build a real “SmackDown Hotel” on the corner of Know Your Role Boulevard and Jabroni Drive that fans can stay in, then this whole thing is a waste of time.
