WWE Is Planning On Having NXT Tapings At Full Sail During WrestleMania Week

Every year without fail, WrestleMania week is the busiest seven-to-nine days of the pro wrestling year (which, as everyone knows, is an extremely long year). Next year’s WrestleMania 33 is going to be in Orlando, and if you happen to be in the area and aren’t hitting up Disney World and Universal Studios, there’s going to be so much wresting crap it’s going to make your head spin. With the new brand split in effect, there will be five straight days of WWE shows, four of which will take place at the Amway Center.

In a flip-flop from previous years, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will now be on Friday night, with NXT’s TakeOver event happening on Saturday night. Then there’s WrestleMania itself on Sunday, then back to the Amway Center for Raw and Smackdown on Monday and Tuesday nights. If that weren’t enough (it totally is), now WWE is also planning on holding NXT television tapings at Full Sail that week, according to the Wrestling Observer.

That set of tapings would happen on Wednesday, April 5, meaning WrestleMania week is now basically two weeks, as official WWE events (including the AXXESS fan expo) will basically run from Thursday before Mania through the following Wednesday. And that’s not including WrestleCon or the scads of other independent wrestling promotions that will inevitably descend on the Orlando area that week. (The usual suspects typically include Ring of Honor, EVOLVE/WWNLive, and CZW.)

So yeah, you better start planning your WrestleMania travel plans now, because it’s only going to get trickier from here.
