Chance The Rapper Went Into His Own Pockets To Fight Scalpers

Ticket scalpers don’t want “No Problem” with Chance the Rapper. When he found out scalpers bought up most of the tickets for his stacked Magnificent Coloring Day festival, Chano had no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The Coloring Book rapper tweeted out a picture of the nearly 2,000 tickets he bought back from “f*ckboy scalpers and made them into physicals.”

Magnificent Coloring Book Day isn’t until September 24, so Chance has more than two weeks to continue his crusade. He said the aforementioned tickets “are just floor seats,” so it sounds like that’s exactly what he’s going to do. Considering Chicago’s U.S. Cellular Field seats 40,000 people, there’s plenty of opportunity there. That being said, he’s making good on his earlier promise to find “loopholes” for fans.

At the time this story is being filed, “video board view” tickets are available for the single-day festival for $25 via Ticketmaster. If you live anywhere near the area or are willing to travel, it’s certainly worth a shot to see Chance himself, Skrillex, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Tyler the Creator, and most likely a slew of guest rappers from his hometown. Kanye West most likely isn’t available as he’s performing in Baltimore that evening, but who knows? There’s plenty of time to make a surprise appearance during the festival and still get to his show in time.
