Chance The Rapper Announced Chicago Festival ‘Magnificent Coloring Day’ Featuring Lil Wayne, Young Thug

When Chance The Rapper announced his Magnificent Coloring World Tour last month, his hometown of Chicago was conspicuously absent. Now we know why. Chano was planning a massive single-day festival at the home of his beloved White Sox, Comiskey Park U.S. Cellular Field. Along with 79th Street’s most-famous son, the first-ever music festival in the park will feature performances by Skrillex, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and more.

Chance announced the South Side-repping fest on Twitter with an awesome coloring book style video that promises a very special guest host (and also referred to himself as Me, The Rapper because he’s the best).

The whole thing is going down on September 24 with tickets going on sale at 6 p.m. EST on Chance’s website. It’s the second event that Chance has hosted in the area since the release of his excellent mixtape Coloring Book. Given his penchant for putting on for his hometown (except Whirlyball), it’s guaranteed to be a good time with an almost certain performance of our Song of the Summer “No Problem.”

If the announcement has you fiending for more Chance, you can check out the Coloring Book castoff “Living Single” and his Jamila Woods collab “LSD.”
