What Is Donald Glover Up To With This Mysterious Countdown?

Donald Glover stirred up a bit of attention on Friday, using his forces for good, not evil. The actor-rapper posted a single tweet to his Twitter account that had a simple message: a link to pharos.earth/.

A quick click takes us to the Pharos Earth site where we’re greeted by a sparse screen with a logo and options to click either iPhone or Android. Following a quick install, the app provides us with a screen that has us flying through space while a countdown clock sits in a lower corner.

But, what exactly are we counting down to? His new FX series Atlanta doesn’t premiere until September and he just landed a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, so it’s a little too early to expect any reveals there.

So, could it be new Childish Gambino music, perhaps? That tape that Chance The Rapper indicated was still a thing that exists? Reddit users note that Glover filed a trademark related to music for Pharos back in late May.

His Twitter followers had a few guesses but most seemed pretty excited just at the simple fact that he tweeted at all.
