Future Is Countersuing After Rocko Hit Him With A $10 Million Lawsuit

Another day, another piece of legal action with Future’s name attached. His latest filing is a countersuit filed against his former partner in rhyme and boss, Rocko.

According to TMZ, Future Hendrix claims he owes Rocko nothing from an early deals. In fact, he contends that Rocko actually owes him money instead.

For anyone short on memory, Rocko sued Future for $10 million back in June, claiming that the Auto-Tune Astronaut was signed on to Rocko’s label, A1 Recordings, for a six-album deal dating back to 2011. According to the reports on the original suit, Rocko’s claim is that Future backdoored him by cutting a separate deal with Epic records, his current label, and edged Rocko out the potential earnings.

Future’s rebuttal to that? He never had an exclusive deal with Rocko’s company so everything he did was legit. He’s turning the tables by contending that Rocko and A1 never covered his recording costs or paid advances of $10K per album, which leaves him suing Rocko for an unspecified account.

Not for nothing, there’s a small ironic twist here since it was Future who mocked Rocko for taking their dealings to court. “Real street nigga went to the court house,” he wrote on Twitter at the time. “How did it feel when you signed the papers?”

Apparently, he can answer that question for himself now.

Let’s flashback to better times between these two and cue up “Chosen One” from 2013’s F.B.G.: The Movie.
