Lil Wayne caused an uproar after he had some demeaning comments about Black Lives Matter on Nightline this week. After saying he didn’t “get” what BLM means he apologized, explained why his was so upset and the interview and it was later revealed his publicist tried to make sure the interview didn’t air. Well, the publicist failed, and that snafu cost them their job and people are still upset with Weezy as the fallout continues.

One of those people angry at Wayne for his comments is his friend and fellow rapper T.I. Tip took to Instagram to post a lengthy rant aimed towards Weezy after his children showed him the video. There T.I. called the comments “unacceptable” and “buffoonery & coonin'” while revealing that he and Wayne are close and their daughters are friends as well.

“I know U,YOURE BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!” T.I. said in the post. “I’ve been proud to call myself a fan & a friend of Lil Wayne ,but if that must end in order to stand up for those who can’t do it for themselves…So be it.” He went on to tell Wayne that instead of making disparaging remarks he could have simply said no comment and moved on. “If you’re not prepared for a question in an interview, say No Comment Bro. But stop embarrassing yourself & everyone out here who’s been supporting you.”

T.I. has not bit his tongue as it pertains to political matters, and he even released an entire EP, Us Or Else, attacking social injustice back in September, so it’s not a surprise to see him take aim at Lil Wayne even though he considers him a friend. Check out Tip’s entire post below.
