Firewall & Iceberg, Episode 291: ‘BoJack Horseman,’ ‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’ & more

Happy Tuesday, boys and girls! The Firewall & Iceberg Podcast lives!

Last week, we figured the podcast would continue, but with certain aspects still up in the air, we wanted to underpromise and overdeliver, rather than vice versa. But while Dan is gone from HitFix, the podcast will continue.

This week's heavy on cable comedies – some returning, some new – and even the summer series finale rewatch pivots into a comic direction, albeit with tragic conclusions to family sitcoms with puppets. (Apologies, by the way, to anyone who watched the wrong “Dinosaurs” episode, because Netflix doesn't have them in proper order; the end of the series is “Changing Nature,” which is listed as the seventh episode of the last season on Netflix). For next week, we're going to do a Series Finale That Wasn't, with “Limbo,” from the end of “Magnum, P.I.” season 7, which was designed to end the series before CBS ordered an abbreviated eighth season at the last minute. That's on Netflix through the end of this month.

The rundown:

“The Jim Gaffigan Show” (00:02:30 – 00:15:50)
“Impastor” (00:16:00 – 00:22:15)
“Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll” (00:22:20 – 00:34:45)
“Married” (00:34:45 – 00:42:35)
“BoJack Horseman” (00:42:40 – 00:52:45)
“Alf” & “Dinosaurs” finales (00:52:45 – 01:11:50)
