TV Avalanche Podcast, Episode 15: ‘Twin Peaks,’ ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ & More

Welcome back to the TV Avalanche podcast, everybody! In our fifth episode, Brian Grubb and I start things off with a few brief words about the return of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to Netflix, which is mainly an excuse to draft our favorite current TV theme songs. (We had thought about doing all-time, too, but maybe will try that on a future episode.) After that, Brian explains his love of talking dog movies, and whether it applied to him when he watched ABC’s Downward Dog. From there, we speculate about the long awaited return of Twin Peaks to Showtime, and Brian gives us a report on how he felt watching the original series (spoiler: look at the rundown if you want some idea). Then it’s the spoiler section, with looks at last week’s riveting Better Call Saul courtroom thriller, followed by our attempt to make sense of last night’s delightfully bonkers The Leftovers.

TV Avalanche is now available on iTunes (please rate and review if you haven’t already), Stitcher, and Android. Still working on Google Play. You can also stream it below or download it from SoundCloud. Our theme song is “Brundlefly” by The Zombie Dandies, which you can download here.
