Amar’e Stoudemire could barely call himself an NBA player this year, so the least he could have done was watch his team play. Clearly, he didn’t.

Amar’e thinks his team might be the best in the league “on paper” despite the fact they got bumped from playoff contention in the worst Eastern Conference in recent memory.

I get having team pride, but the Knicks sucked this year. Also, having the best team “on paper” and not making the playoffs pretty much just means the players sh*t the bed. Which they did. All of them.

I halfway thought Amar’e was out all year. Sometimes a good “we suck” and stepping away from the microphones does wonders and doesn’t make you look delusional. Man, nothing really has been the same ever since Kendrick dropped “Control,” has it? Yikes.

By the by, since we’re piling on the Knicks, let’s mention the fact that Carmelo’s supporting cast this season was better than any LeBron had on any year in Cleveland and it’s pretty inexcusable that he couldn’t lead them to the post-season. If I’m a general manager, then the price on the brick just went down.

But hey, what do I know? I just hope Melo doesn’t overdo it on deep dish pizza next season.
