Learning The Arsenio Hall Show wouldn’t be receiving a run at its second season was anything but a shock. What sucks is the legendary host was unable to produce a farewell show seeing as how it was canceled while he and his staff were on vacation.

Truth be told, even if Arsenio had the opportunity to do so, topping his original farewell would have been virtually impossible. May 21, 1994, signaled the final episode of Hall’s original series. Per the course during the program’s five-year run, too, the finale concluded with a musical performance.

Only this time, it was a buffet of Hip-Hop who’s who taking time to pay homage to the man who did more for the genre than he’ll likely ever truly be given credit for. MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, Wu-Tang, Naughty By Nature, Das EFX, KRS-One and more all take turns on the late night cypher sending Arsenio out in the only style applicable to the show’s impact.
