Timofey Mozgov Gets Mozgov’ed By DeMar DeRozan

Look, the “Mozgov gets Mozgov’d” narrative has already been beaten into the ground, but you’ve got to admit, it works so well. The only difference this time around was it wasn’t Blake Griffin who caught Young Timmy slipping, it was DeMar DeRozan doing the honors. As the Raptors’ announcers noted, Mozgov was looking for trouble by deciding to jump so late after DeRozan took flight.

To make the dunk even better, Toronto won in a thriller 109-108 with Double D finishing with 22 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Lowry and Rudy Gay paced the way with 11 points and 10 assists and 17 points (including the game winner with four seconds left), respectively.

At least right now, I couldn’t have been anymore wrong about this new look Raptors squad who’ve won three in a row. Don’t look now, but the 20-32 Raps are only six games back of the eighth spot in the East with 30 games left. Eastern Conference basketball, baby!
