“I waited four days, n*gga. Where y’all at?”
Welp, Drake apparently wasn’t going to wait for a response from Meek Mill before he went in for the kill. Just hours after some debauchery that caused Meek to show up late to the Pinkprint tour date in Toronto and perform an abbreviated set, Drizzy strikes again with his “Back to Back (Freestyle).” While “Charged Up” may have left some room for interpretation, Drake leaves no doubt that he’s going right at Meek’s throat on this one.
In less than three minutes, the 6 God attacks with the type of aggressiveness everybody wanted from him to begin with. There are shots at Meek’s status when compared to his girlfriend Nicki Minaj’s, the fact that he’s opening up for her on her tour, that she seemingly has more money and much, much more.
This for y’all to think that I don’t write enough
They just mad ‘cuz I got the Midas touch
You love her, then you gotta give the world to her
Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?
I know that you gotta be a thug for her
This ain’t what she meant when she said told you to open up more
Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers
You getting bodied by a singing n*gga
I’m not the type of n*gga that’ll type to n*ggas
And shout to all my boss b*tches wifing n*ggas
Make sure you hit him with the prenup, then tell that man to ease up
I did another one, I did another one
You still ain’t did sh*t about the other one
Drizzy even closes the track out by insinuating that Meek may be a snitch, the Philly felon negotiating his early release from jail last year. If Meek thought “Charged Up” was “baby lotion soft,” he won’t have room to complain here.
The question is, will this earn a response from the “I’m A Boss” MC? Please, Meek, do not tweet again unless it’s a SoundCloud link. If it’s anything else, it’s the white flag.
