Golden State’s Jermaine O’Neal Missed Sunday’s Game In Toronto Because He Lost His Passport

For anyone who has ever traveled abroad, he or she knows the importance of having their passport on them at all times. Getting anywhere near a plane isn’t an option if you can’t produce that little black (or blue) book. The same goes for everybody, too, regardless of celebrity (or semi-celebrity).

Just ask Jermaine O’Neal. The Warriors could have used their veteran big man off the bench yesterday in Golden’s State’s 106-98 loss in Toronto. You probably already see where I’m going with this.

O’Neal, 35, was unable to enter customs due to a passport matter, coach Mark Jackson said prior to Sunday’s game against the Raptors.

Jackson during his pregame news conference told reporters he was unclear whether O’Neal’s passport was lost or stolen or whether the veteran big man was facing another issue.

Luckily for the Warriors, J.O. will be available and ready for Tuesday’s game against the biggest team in basketball – the Pacers.
