Over the weekend, Katt Williams called Kevin Hart a puppet and insinuated Kevin had to do something strange for the change that landed him in Forbes as a top-earning comedian. Katt’s harsh words got back to Kevin, who took a picture with Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle and said he was all about “support and encouragement,” not tearing other comedians down like “insecure ones.” Well, that got back to Katt and now he’s challenging Kevin to a battle.
Fresh from whooping a clerk’s ass and getting booked on assault charges, the troubled comedian made a quick video to challenge Kevin to a $5 million match — any match. The 42-year-old comic’s Conspiracy Theory tour is heading to Philadelphia on Saturday and Katt wants Kevin to put up or shut up.
“I got a show at your hometown–in Philly. I’ma tape my special there on that stage,” Katt informs in the minute-long video. “We could put whatever you want. A full-court basketball court. A boxing ring. Two microphones for a rap cypher. Or you can get your ass dusted in comedy on that stage. But it’s $1 million up for each one. That’s $5 million, Mr. $28 Million in Forbes. I’ll be bringing mine in cash, mitch. Bring yours however you want.”
There is a stipulation, though. In order for Kevin to prove that he’s also not the puppet Katt said he was, he has to leave the “white people” home. “And since you’re not a puppet, don’t bring no white people with you then. That’s a $5 million bet, individually. You can take it all or you can take it part and parcel.”
I’m still not sure how things got to this point.
