Harlem, stand up!

I know, I know. A Ma$e interview isn’t really a top priority for your busy Monday morning. Hopefully the subject matter makes you reconsider your stance, because there are some gems, courtesy of his interview with Detroit’s 107.5 FM.

The biggest, shiniest one involves J. Cole and a beef that I didn’t even know existed. Apparently, Ma$e has felt disrespected by Cole in the past, to the point where a fight almost broke out. But, according to the interview, he reconsidered his stance:

“I saw him one day, I was going to hit him but I was too grown to be knocking light-skinned people out. But I really like him as an artist. When I saw him I was like, ‘Oh he a kid, he don’t get it [laughs].”

Holy sh*t, not enough laughing .GIFs in the world. Sorry, Jermaine. I’m sure the ladies still love you.

Other highlights of the interview include talk of working with both Jim Jones and Cam’ron: “I did speak to Jim [Jones], we supposed to be working together, that’s really dope… And me and [Cam’ron] going to work together at some point. It’s all love.”

He also got the chance to mention that, in case you were wondering, Diddy paid him very, very well. “I’m the only artist that actually got paid by Puff (Daddy), like really paid,” he said. “Puff would tell you I got really, really paid. Puff wanna give me another check and I’m going to take it.”

That’s all well and good, but I’m still laughing about that J. Cole comment too hard to care about much else.
