Michael Jordan’s Ice Bucket Challenge Proves Why He’s Better Than Kobe

Michael Jordan played with a hangover – ok, “the flu” – in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. On the road! Michael Jordan got elbowed, punched, kicked and fell victim to all sorts of intimidation tactics by the Bad Boys Pistons. Michael Jordan once dropped 54 on the Knicks after New York media ratted him out for allegedly having a grand ol’ time in Atlantic City. Michael Jordan went toe-to-toe with Larry Bird and Magic Johnson and lived to tell about it. The point being, there’s not much aside from spending a day with a tailor that would make Michael Jordan flinch.

A storied and obsessive competitor from everything to hoops to card games, Money backing down from Ray Allen, David Beckham and Derek Jeter’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge wasn’t in his blood.

Phil Jackson and the rest of the 1992 Dream Team (that includes you, Laettner!) are on deck to participate and donate. I’m already barreled over in laughter thinking about Chuck doing this.

And for comparison purposes, Kobe’s entry can be seen below and he tried to use a cheat code since he was already submerged in freezing water anyway. Where’s the fun in that?
