No Malice – “June” Video

No Malice (feels weird typing that) is a man of his word. Rather than bark up the same tree that Clipse fans have come to know and love, the eldest Thornton brother has a much more uplifting message to convey in “June.” Speaking from a spiritually content perspective, Mal trades in hunger and desire for introspection and reflection. “New God Flow,” this ain’t. That doesn’t make it a bad track in any way; the beat is more than effective, No offers some good bars (“‘Cause to me, red bottoms ain’t nothing but shoes/win lose or draw, I’m just working on these flaws/I just wish chicks would stop throwing me they drawers.”), and the visual treatment is solid.

Still, this probably isn’t what die-hard Re-Up fans are pining for. Only time will tell if the differing paths taken by Pusha-T and Mal find a way to intersect.
