Believe it or not, the last N*E*R*D album, Nothing, dropped in November 2010. Thankfully, the album aged has aged gracefully (much like it’s 2008 predecessor, Seeing Sounds).
But four years are four years, and in today’s world, four years are more like an eternity. Pharrell was busy becoming a bigger and bigger celerbity and “Happy” essentially turned him into one of the world’s biggest pop stars (as if he weren’t already). Yet, leave to the Virginia heads to possibly let the cat out of the bag overseas. Skateboard P performed at the iTunes Music Festival at London’s Roundhouse where he brought out Shay Haley who said, “It feels good to be back in London. When we released our first album back in 2001 and first crossed the Atlantic, this was the first place to embrace us. You’re gonna like this s*** we’re gonna release.”
P soon poured gasoline on a lit match saying, “There will always be a N.E.R.D. I’m happy to be a nerd; the bullies lost, the nerds win.”
Potentially new material from P, Shay and Chad?
May prayer circles worldwide commence.
Correction: N*E*R*D’s last album was Nothing, not Seeing Sounds, as previously mentioned.
