The Sauce Twinz Did Not Appreciate Drake’s Houston Appreciation Weekend

I guess we can add one more person to the list of people who won’t get a feature from Sauce Walka of Sauce Twinz. A couple of months ago, Sauce seemed unenthused about the idea of working with Drake, claiming that he would be doing the Canadian rapper a favor by allowing him to appear on the remix to his buzzing track “2 Legited 2 Quit It”. Shortly afterward, his tune changed, and he excitedly teased that the remix was coming.

Now, in another turn of events, he has some criticism for Drake and his second annual Houston Appreciation Weekend celebration. While some H-Town luminaries, including the city’s mayor Annise Parker, were in attendance, Sauce Walka wondered why an artist so inspired by Houston’s music and culture hasn’t worked with anybody from there yet.

On a video uploaded to Instagram, Sauce made his feelings known as strongly as possible:

“N**** come down, n**** using our culture for lyrical content and ain’t given’ shit back but a family fun day and some money to some hoes he tricking on in the clubs. F*cking idiot. This b*tch-ass n**** made music with artists from everywhere but Houston.”

He was not done there as he chose to run down the names of artists not named Drake who’ve done features with the Sauce.

Now if this seems a bit confusing given that Drake apparently tried to work with Sauce himself, don’t worry because you aren’t alone. As for Drake’s response, he let the city know, in no uncertain terms, how much he loves them, and how little he cares about Sauce’s criticism.
