A decade past seems like a long time ago but a classic joint will only get better with time. While touring out in Australia, Skepta popped by the Triple J Radio show to hammer a freestyle over the legendary “P’s and Q’s” beat originally bodied by Kano.
While namedropping half the London hoods, the British grime artist found time to shout his riot-inducing flash-concert in Shoreditch. The blowout had police and local citizens wondering what the hell just ripped through their hipster paradise.
“Ay, they wanna see me drown
Tryna hold the mandem down
‘Cause I shutdown Shoreditch carpark
And I’ve got bars like Camden Town
Out there tryna survive on the streets
Trying to not get killed by police
And I be schooling MCs
Nobody leaves til half past three”
Greezy. Peep some footage from the carpark show below, especially if you don’t believe Skepta can mesmerize a crowd. Then tweet it to your local lethargic rapper friends to show them how they’re supposed to rock a crowd.
