Can Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughn Win Again With New Movie ‘The Internship’?

Despite their star power, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn’s post-Wedding Crashers resume is a bit spotty*. Clearly finding it difficult to outgrow the college-aged ‘frat pack’ mentality that made them so huge in the early 2000s, Wilson and Vaughn’s next flick, The Internship is a big deal of the make-or-break variety and its success will say a lot about whether or not audiences will still back the clearly-aging actors.

The first official trailer introduces us to two middle-aged salesmen trying to compete for a young man’s job at Google. Trying to prove they aren’t obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship, a storyline that doesn’t seem lost on the movie’s creators. Depending on how you feel about the two stars stuck in roles that they played over ten years ago, this could be an incredible example of art imitating life.

The Internship opens in theaters on June 7.

*Give Wilson some credit, though. Drop-off aside, his constant collaborations with Wes Anderson have been great as was Midnight In Paris.
