Wale Walks A Different Path On New Song “The Followers”

In his earlier response to Meek Mill et. al, Wale addressed the notion that he doesn’t fit in with the “‘gangsta rap’ faction” that is Maybach Music Group. He explained that he understands and embraces his differences as part of what he brings to the table. He also babbled on about writing poetry, liking WWE and other non-related stuff to further the idea that he’s not really “600 Benz” material.

Now, Mr. Folarin’s released a new song, “The Followers,” with the note “Was gonna drop next week but I figured why not .,, just a warm up to the direction we wanna go in #NOTHIN later.” Also, the song is said to show where he’s at mentally right now and it does sound like he’s a several used car lots away from wherever they sell luxury vehicles.

“Oh that’s swag? Call me trash
Who y’all source? Cause y’all sheep
The way I see it you all lost
Look what I accomplished while you lackin’ di-rection…”

To be honest, maybe he should’ve waited instead of trying to seize the spotlight because the song seems to have an unexplainable CD skipping sound going on with it and the levels are low. Anyways, listen below.

At this point, the real question is will “The Biggest Bawse” Ricky Ross put an end to the tension or will he let the lions in?
