Tom Brady’s come a long way, hasn’t he? The quarterback wasn’t much of a prospect when he came out of the University of Michigan. He was a bit clunky, he was kinda slow, his movement in the pocket was very robotic. In short, Brady looked about as non-athletic as possible at the 2000 NFL combine (video above). As a result, he dropped all the way to sixth round where the New England Patriots gladly scooped him out.

Fifteen years later, that clunky, non-athletic quarterback might very well be the best player in NFL history. Perhaps intangibles matter just a bit more than a quarterback’s 40 time. Which, if you’re wondering, was a 5.28 for Brady. He certainly wouldn’t have taken home a cheetah print-wrapped Porsche 911, which wasn’t a prize to be won in 2000, when players apparently showed up to the Combine in their uncle’s used gym clothes.
