Jordan Spieth Likes Hanging Out With Dallas Cowboys When He’s Not Busy Winning The Masters

When you’re born and raised in Dallas, there’s a good chance you’re a diehard Cowboys fan. So, it’s no surprise that Masters champ Jordan Spieth is a card-carrying member of Cowboys Nation. He counts quarterback Tony Romo as a friend and someone he regularly plays golf with (they teamed up to finish third at the 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am).

Romo talked about their friendship last month on a Dallas radio station:

“I watch golf. That doesn’t go hand in hand with playing. I do miss the aspect of just competing.” Romo said on KRLD-FM 105.3. “I like going against Jordan Spieth and competing and seeing if I can have a chance. That doesn’t usually turn out very well.”

Here are the two hanging out for Romo’s birthday last year:

Spieth’s ties to the Cowboys goes well-beyond Tony Romo. When he’s not traveling on tour, he attends games with his family.

He occasionally he rocks ugly sweaters and also hangs with legends like Roger Staubach.

Even Troy Aikman is familiar with Spieth, and here’s his congratulatory message to the golfer following his Masters victory:

So, it’s only a matter of time before we see Spieth in the owner’s box with Jerry Jones, right?
