A Brewing Company Created Tooth Implants That Double As Bottle Openers

This is one of the most brilliant innovations of the 21st century, or perhaps one of the silliest. Or is it both?

Salta Brewing Company in Argentina is giving tooth implants to Argentine rugby players who have lost their teeth on the playing field. But these aren’t just ordinary tooth implants; no, they also double as bottle openers.

“We are incorporating a unique innovation here,” said Dr. Sebastian Juri. “A new functionality is added to the chewing function of the premolars; the beer opener. Our piece is ready as a tooth implant, and the patient can also use it as a bottle opener.”

Let’s put 10 seconds on the clock and see how many dental-related puns we can come up with:

  • Not having a bottle opener handy is one of life’s many annoying headaches. Thankfully, Dr. Juri got to the root of the problem.
  • When will somebody write an oral history of this rugby team?
  • Happy hour has been moved from five o’clock to tooth hurty.

And, time’s up.

Good work, Salta beer. You’re doing important work here, and you deserve a plaque in your honor.
