Goldberg Returned To The Ring This Weekend To Spear Scott Steiner Out Of His Crazy Boots

Nobody ever truly escapes the wrestling business. Bill Goldberg retired after his 2004 WrestleMania match Brock Lesnar, and he’s generally remained quiet since. When he did comment on wrestling, he usually didn’t cast the business in the most glowing of lights.

Well, it seems like even ol’ Bill isn’t immune to the dreaded wrestling itch. Interviews in which he discusses the possibility of returning to the ring are popping up on a fairly regular basis now, and he’s even said he’d like to reprise his final match with Lesnar. Poor Goldberg has even found himself drawn into Scott Steiner’s orbit of insanity. When not waging his bizarre one-sided feud with Hulk Hogan, Steiner has been taking shots at Goldberg, and Goldberg responded, saying he’d save Steiner a seat at a New York Legends of Wrestling event…

Well, turns out Goldberg did more than save Steiner a seat. At the event, Goldberg got physical in a pro wrestling ring for the first time in a long time, spearing Steiner right on his big bad booty. Here’s a picture of the event, courtesy of Goldberg’s Instagram account.

Goldberg has been saying he’d like to do one more match, likely as part of a one-off indie show, so his young son could see him do his thing live at least once. Could Scott Steiner be that final opponent? If Goldberg’s real goal is to dissuade his son from getting into the wrestling business, Steiner might be a good choice. Otherwise, he might want to go with somebody a little less, well, a little less Scott Steiner.
