Watch Randy Moss Strongly Suggest He’s Considering An NFL Comeback

Rejoice, NFL fans: Randy Moss seems to be actually considering a comeback. On Sunday night, on Fox Sports 1, he discussed the possibility of playing again. The 38-year-old, who retired after the 2012 season, seemed to strongly suggest that he’s open to returning to the league with this exchange in the above video:

Curt Menefee: “What’s all this talk I hear about you maybe going back and playing football again?”

Randy Moss: “Curt, I actually have not lost the itch. I’ve been working out with a few guys over the offseason. I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know, Curt. But that’s the love of the game that I still have inside of me.”

Menefee: “That’s not a commitment that you’re gonna be here beside us the rest of the year. It doesn’t sound like it. You thinking?”

Moss: “Hey, I don’t know. The sky’s the limit for me, Curt. So we’ll just have to wait and see.”

The speculation of a Moss comeback first started last week when Panthers star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin was lost for the season with a torn ACL. Moss resides in Charlotte, which further fueled speculation of him teaming up with Cam Newton. Then, over the weekend, the Packers lost their No. 1 receiver, Jordy Nelson, to a torn ACL, as well. That leaves two 2014 playoff teams with a big hole on the outside, one that Moss could help fill.

Although Moss’ last productive season was in in 2009 with the Patriots, when he put up over 1,200 yards receiving to go with 13 touchdown catches. If he still has anything left, it would be great to see him on the field again.
