Watch The Redskins And Texans Get Into Four Huge Brawls During Practice

The Houston Texans and the Washington Redskins decided to get together for a series of joint practices this week at training camp. This is nothing unusual, as NFL teams will oftentimes meet up before the season to get a sense of how their squads look against other NFL-level talent.

What’s unusual about this get-together is that the two sides ended up getting in several massive brawls after four consecutive plays. It seems to have started when a Washington player came in late and hit a Houston player in the back, which isn’t cool, but it led to the two teams going at each other for a few seconds.

Fine, whatever. Things like this will happen, so it’s not a big deal, right? Well, on the very next play, two more players decided to throw hands, and another skirmish broke out. This one starts off pretty slow, but really picks up once the benches start to clear.

After this, the Texans’ blue team was replaced by its white team, and the Redskins’ white team was replaced by its burgundy team. This ended up meaning absolutely nothing, because those players got into it with each other.

Apparently a fourth fight ended up breaking out, according to former All-Pro linebacker Takeo Spikes, but there’s no footage of that. If you think there was something fishy about this, you’re right. No, this isn’t because the Texans are on Hard Knocks and this would cause some extra drama, but rather, this happened because the players wanted to stop practicing and the plan ended up going too far, according to Washington receiver Pierre Garçon.

As the old saying goes, “the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry, especially when those plans involve professional football players fighting each other.”
