Jared Dudley Had Some Amazing Things To Say About Adam Morrison’s Personal Hygiene

As fastidious as most NBA players are about their appearance, a story like this calls into question everything we thought we knew. During a radio interview on Washington’s 106 The Fan Monday, new Wizard Jared Dudley was hilariously and astonishingly forthcoming about which of his former teammates was – as the interviewer put it – the “worst dresser or most disgusting.”

It’s not a question Dudley had to think about for long, as there is apparently no other possible correct answer in his mind. Via Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post:

“Adam Morrison,” Dudley called out, naming a teammate from the 2008-09 Charlotte Bobcats. “Remember Adam Morrison? He never took showers, he did the chewing tobacco that he spit all the time, and he wore the same three polos the whole year. This is a guy who made a lot of money, too, at that time. He was the face of diabetes, he was doing everything, he was on the cover of college games, he was [everywhere], and he was by far the worst and [most] disgusting.”

Even if you’re someone whose showering habits can best be described as “infrequently,” there are still simple measures that modern day human beings can take to make sure their personal hygiene isn’t offensive to everyone within a 50-mile radius.

If it gets as bad as Dudley claims, i.e. to the point where teammates literally had to force Morrison to take a shower, then it’s probably time to re-evaluate some of your life choices.

“He was playing when I was there, that’s the thing, he was playing,” Dudley said. “He then tore his ACL, that’s when he didn’t play, but he was playing when I was there. He was playing like 30 minutes a game. Gerald Wallace had to force him to take a shower one time. Had to force him. Imagine that. Imagine forcing a grown man to take a shower. He should be ashamed of himself.”

The author of the article is careful to point out that Dudley wasn’t just piling on someone who wasn’t there to defend himself. It was purportedly all in the spirit of some good-nature ribbing among teammates. Also, it’s not as if Morrison is unaware of his reputation, which apparently stretches all the way back to his days at Gonzaga.

Morrison hasn’t played in the NBA since a very brief stint with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2012.
