John Wall Got A $20,000 Mural Of Himself For His 25th Birthday

What do you get for the man who has everything? Well, John Wall may not have everything, but there’s certainly not much he doesn’t have or can’t afford. So what do you get him for his birthday, this multi-millionaire professional athlete? You get him himself, obviously.

In celebration of Wall’s 25th birthday, the Washington Wizards point guard was gifted a massive, multicolored mural of his face. This wasn’t just some random Fathead knock off, though. This mural was apparently valued at $20,000. Yes, you read that right.

Now that we’ve answered what you get for someone who has everything, the next important question is, where in the world do you hang something like that? Family portraits are one thing, clearly. But a giant mural of your face is quite another.

Do you hang it in the foyer, so that it greets guests immediately as they enter? That seems a bit too intrusive, not to mention that seeing your face blown up to gigantic proportions immediately several times a day probably gets old fast. Maybe in the dining room. Although, again, do you want to look at yourself while you’re eating food? The bathroom is out. That’s not up for discussion. The living room, though. That makes the most sense. It’s out of the way, but you can always go check it out when you want. Sometimes guests go there, sometimes not.

It can be a feature, “oh, hey, let me show you this awesome mural I got for my birthday,” but not an intrusive one, which is what this sort of painting should be.
