Ronda Rousey Now Has Her Own 20-Foot Mural In Venice Beach

Los Angeles-based street artist Jonas Never has become famous in Southern California for his spot-on murals, and now he has released his latest creation: a 20-foot mural honoring UFC star Ronda Rousey.

Along with her dominance in the ring, Never was motivated to create the Rousey image because the two went to the same high school and Rousey currently lives in the Venice Beach area. The mural shows Rousey striking a fighting pose with the quote “never forget where you came from” over her shoulder.

Never’s previous sports-related creations have included Rowdy Roddy Piper:

Stuart Scott:

And the Los Angeles Dodgers:

Rousey responded to Never with a thank you on her Instagram, saying:

Thank you @never1959 for the beautiful Venice mural!!! Growing up in Venice gives you a real appreciation for street art, and this is the biggest possible compliment from one local to another #Iheartstreetart ❤️?

The mural is on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice Beach and Never told thepostgame.com that he would love Rousey to come to see his creation in person, saying:

“I’d love to see her in front of this mural, it’d be really cool to get her to come out with a 20-foot tall version of herself. The fact that it’s there is doing enough for me already. She’s a cool person to honor.”
