Arizona State Capped Off Their Upset Of UCLA With An Incredible Pile Push Into The Endzone

Arizona State University pulled off a stunning upset of No. 7 ranked UCLA in California on Saturday night, taking down the Bruins by a final score of 38-23. The final scoring play of the game came on the incredible highlight that you see above, in which a humongous pile of humanity was pushed about 15 yards into the end zone for a Sun Devils touchdown.

Up eight points with less than a minute remaining in the game, ASU running back Kalen Ballage got the third down hand-off with the opportunity to all but put the game away. Not only did Ballage pick up the yardage required for the first down that would essentially put the game on ice, but his linemen also ensured that he would pick up a touchdown on the scoresheet as well.

The big fellas came to Ballage’s aid as UCLA defenders attempted to wrap him up and take him down for the tackle, pushing the entire scrum until the running back passed the goal line. It was a splendidly weird play to watch, and a fitting ending for a very disappointing UCLA performance on their home turf.
