The Great Khali Will Be Touring With TNA, Because Of Course He Will

Just when you thought Impact Wrestling couldn’t rob the elephant graveyard of former WWE talent any more, they’ve stepped up and proved everyone wrong. The Great Khali, also known as Dalip Singh, is joining TNA in conjunction with their upcoming trip to India. Impact Wrestling will be holding three live events in India in December, concluding with ONE NIGHT ONLY: MUMBAI. The special will air live in India, then later broadcast in the U.S. and the rest of the world. No word on my write-in suggestion of replacing it with ONE NIGHT ONLY: MUMBAI CATS.

But where does that tall drink of athletically gifted water fit in? Did you just get all clenched in places thinking of the words TNA World Heavyweight Champion Great Khali? Haha, of course not. Who is even surprised by their terrible champions anymore? No, it seems that The Great Khali will be assisting with finding the next great Indian superstar:

The project will give aspiring wrestlers from India an opportunity to showcase their talents on a global platform. The announcement follows 2014’s grand unveiling of TNA’s first ever Indian wrestler, Mahabali Shera – after a year-long talent search led by TNA Hall of Famer and Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle.

World-renowned wrestling star and Indian hero Dalip Singh will lead the talent search alongside Gaburick. Singh will be a part of the selection process and help mentor the contenders. He has also given his endorsement to December’s LIVE TNA events. – via Impact Wrestling

We assume that by ‘first ever Indian wrestler’ they mean from India proper, and aren’t currently in the process of mailing Sonjay Dutt a ‘sorry we forgot you worked for us all those times’ card. I’m sure Hallmark makes one of those, right?
