Richard Jefferson Took A Time Machine To 2001 New Jersey For This Poster Jam

“I used to be in high school watching R.J. and K-Mart…they had Jersey poppin’ for real. R.J., J-Kidd, and K-Mart and them…they had Jersey poppin.'”

That was a mic’d up J.R. Smith during the Cavaliers’ training camp last week, reminiscing about Richard Jefferson‘s days with the New Jersey Nets when he was one of the most explosive leapers in the game. Jefferson must have overheard him waxing ecstatic, because the 35-year-old veteran absolutely dropped the hammer on 7’3 Walter Tavares during their preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday. The Hawks, however, would go on to win 98-96.
