For someone who has been trashed incessantly by Ronda Rousey over the past year, Floyd Mayweather sure is taking the high road following her devastating loss to Holly Holm via head kick KO. Other than an Instagram from 50 Cent that Floyd denies having anything to do with, he’s been killing her with kindness. Check out this interview with FightHype where Floyd discusses Rousey’s defeat in detail:

“One thing that was very interesting, someone came to me and showed me an interview where she was talking about me, not in a bad way, but in a good way actually, talking about her coach, I guess, always brings my name up. Her coach likes my fighting style and was talking about the shoulder roll and was talking about some other things in the interview, which was positive. … If I was her, I would’ve used Floyd Mayweather’s name also. She’s supposed to do that. It’s business, it’s not personal, and I understand business.”

“People will love you on Friday, and then Sunday morning, it’s nothing but negative comments and people making jokes and people making fun about you, which I don’t think is cool. … I want Ronda Rousey to hold her head up high and don’t let this discourage you. If you need help as far as with boxing, I’m here to help you. It’s all about timing and inches.”

Running seems to be Ronda Rousey’s kryptonite, and there’s no doubt Floyd Mayweather is the master at that. Jokes aside, there’s no one who does distance and footwork better than Floyd, so it might be worth that massive slice of humble pie Ronda would have to eat to take him up on his offer.

The general consensus up to this point seems to be that Rousey’s boxing coach has been badly deluding her about her skills. The latest expert to offer up this opinion is none other than infamous boxing trainer Freddie Roach, who said, “It was embarrassing a little bit. No one ever taught her anything about boxing.”

If there’s a glass half full to all this, it sounds like there’s a lot of people in the boxing world who have pointers they’re willing to share with the former UFC champ.
