Adam Jones Slammed Amari Cooper’s Head Into His Own Helmet And Wasn’t Ejected

It’s only Week 1 of the NFL regular season and we’ve already got some after-the-play antics! In Sunday’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Oakland Raiders, cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones slammed Oakland wideout Amari Cooper’s head into his own helmet. Jones was flagged for unnecessary roughness for the actions, and rightfully so, but he was not ejected from the game. Take a look at the play yourself — I’m no NFL ref, but I’d probably say this is worth an ejection.

This isn’t the first incident like this that we’ve seen from some past offenders — Miami’s Ndamukong Suh kicked Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris on Sunday. This one appeared to be an accident, but it’s a little interesting given his history of seemingly intentionally stepping on Aaron Rodgers’ leg and has punching quarterback Matt Schaub in parts where no one wants to be punched before.
