Oh man, I thought we just went through this last weekend.  Looks like the Red Sox and Yankees are playing another weekend series starting today.  As much as the media spotlight on the rivalry tires me out, Boston's sweep last weekend provided three tense, exciting games with several memorable moments.

This could be interesting.  The Yankees have been in a tailspin since the sweep, and have now lost six in a row.  There's also an open call for starting pitchers in the Bronx this afternoon, if you're not doing anything.  Me, I really need to get to the post office and get a haircut, so someone else will have to start on Saturday.  It's too bad; I look really good in pinstripes.

The Red Sox, on the other hand, have the best record in baseball at 14-7.  With last night's Wily Mo Pena-powered victory, Jonathan Papelbon collected his seventh save and Josh Beckett's record improved to a mysterious 5-0.

Tonight's game is scheduled for a 7:05 start — ace Andy Pettite versus With Leather fan fave Daisuke Matsuzaka.  Unfortunately for all the baseball fans, it's a rainy day in NYC, and the forecast only has more precipitation.  So Dice-K's gonna get all wet.  Bummer.
