Aldon Smith Appears To Have Posted A Video Of Himself Smoking A Blunt During A ‘Fire Up Session’

Judgement has never been one of Aldon Smith’s strong suits. The Raiders linebacker is serving a year-long suspension that ends in November after being hit with his third DUI arrest last August. But despite his troubles, Smith has been given another chance by Oakland, which resigned him in April. There is no denying his talent, and Oakland is hoping he can contribute to their front-seven this season once his suspension ends.

However, Smith just can’t stay out of his own way, and now the NFL may be inclined to tack on more time to his suspension after he posted a video to Periscope of him smoking what appears to be weed in what he refers to as a “fire up session.”

Although Smith’s face is never shown in the video, his voice is clearly heard (and easy to identify for those who have heard him speak before), and the video was posted to the Periscope account “ravenga,” which Smith has used before using the pseudonym “Ricky.”

In the video, Smith is told by a woman that he shouldn’t be posting himself smoking and he replies with, “(Expletive) do you see my face? They don’t have my name. This is just a fire up session.”

The best part (or worst, depending on your perspective, I guess) of the video is at the end, when the unidentified female once again protests and Smith replies:

“You’re stupid. You’re tripping. (Expletive) they don’t know it’s me. It’s not like I put ‘Aldon Smith.’

At that point the video cuts off, but the damage was already done. I know it’s only July, but this has to be a shoo-in for dumbest sports moment of the year, right? At least Laremy Tunsil was hacked and didn’t post the video himself.
