Andre Ward Made His Opponent Whiff So Hard He Fell Down

Andre Ward just might be the greatest boxer on the plant at the moment, but his latest fight with relative unknown Alexander Brand was an absolute farce. Ward was a 100-1 favorite and when the bell rung to finally end the 12-round bout he won by a shutout score of 120-108 on every scorecard. As such, there weren’t many moments of excitement, and it was a blooper that stole the show in Oakland as Ward’s overmatched opponent missed a left hook so bad his momentum did something Ward could not over 36 minutes, it put Brand on the canvas.

Hard.

You may want to give Ward some credit for the hilarious whiff, but he barely moved. It was Brand, winding up a punch with cartoonish exaggeration and so much torque that he tornado-ed himself to the ground with a thud. It was hilarious and definitely Fail Horn worthy.

Ward now moves on to an actually competitive fight worth a premium cable slot when he faces Light Heavyweight bruiser Sergey Kovalev in September.
