Watching baseball players do impressions of ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian isn’t a new thing at all. The Worldwide Leader has had plenty of players do Kurkjian impressions, with former Rangers catcher J.P. Arencibia and Brewers minor league pitcher Tim Dillard being the standouts.
ESPN decided to ask another Major Leaguer show off his Kurkjian impression: Pirates star Andrew McCutchen. As it turns out, he may have the best one that we’ve seen. The leadoff hitter for the National League in this year’s All-Star Game apparently has a full arsenal of impressions, and when he was put on the spot and asked to imitate ESPN’s walking baseball encyclopedia, he did it without any issues.
It’s time to add “impressions” to the list of things that McCutchen is good at, along with, well, everything else.
